Hi All,

Please come to my latest group show! You can see my work and we can talk and have wine and cheese at the opening at the New York Law School on Wednesday night, December 2nd, from 6-8pm. The address is 185 West Broadway, (Corner of W. Broadway and Leonard St. St),Tribeca, New York. Telephone: 212-431-2100. Remember, that is the Wednesday night on the week after Thanksgiving. See you there!

I was just in a group show held at the Museum of American Finance which is located on Wall Street, in Manhattan. They still have two of my pieces, if you would like to see my work. The museum has wonderful exhibits and history about the financial world. I would recommend it for a visit.

I have now downloaded the photos from my summer Berkeley College solo show in Manhattan. Please take a look to view my work there and see the opening. If you haven't seen my photos and YouTube video from my Switzerland show, take a look at those, too!

Several people who have tried to contact me through the Contact Page have been unsuccessful. The problem is resolved now, but if you would like to talk to me about seeing my work in person, or discussing a commission, and have a problem, you can always reach me at- info@jennalash.com

I will be busy during the holidays with family, friends, and, as always, working hard in my studio to create new paintings. I wish you all the happiest and healthiest of holidays.

Please check further on my website for more TV and media coverage.

Regards,

Warm Regards from Jenna

The work of New York artist Jenna Lash is focused on money. Her often oversized oil and acrylic paintings explore her ongoing fascination with international and American currency while reworking the formal aspects of familiar images. Some of the works are as large as 60 x 96 inches.

Numerous trips around the world have informed her aesthetic. The artist’s sophisticated pointillism brings creative attention to money’s beauty and symbolism and the larger-than-life portraits of national and international leaders mesmerize the viewer. In new contexts, complex layers of present and past tradition provide new insight into the meaning of currency, culture, and history.

However, Lash’s fresh, powerful artwork transcends its relevance to finance and history. Robert Kirsch, a former Columbia University Art History Professor and published art critic writes:

Lash’s works are of feeling as much as paintings of the external world, and as such breathe a fineness and sensitivity not often found in contemporary visual arts...There is in these paintings an aim for simplicity but also for multiplicity: of color, stoke, beat, meter….

Lash has had twelve solo shows in New York and has been selected for over thirty juried group exhibitions. She has a B.F.A. in Fine Arts from the University of Connecticut, an M.A. from New York University, and has studied at the American Academy in Rome.

Her work is collected by art patrons, corporations, law and accounting firms, foreign exchange and brokerage companies.. Lash resides in both Lower Manhattan and Northern Westchester.
